Tiger Beach Shark Diving

Dates

There are various dates available for our Tiger Beach trips. The weekend trips run from September to April. Please be aware that November to February the seas can be high, the boat is not covered and the ride over can be rough.

Cost

$850 per person + $90 for sharing accommodation. Please note sharing is sometimes double bed with same sex but we do try where possible not to do this but rooms on island are limited. Single occupancy and room is $199. Cash is needed for dinner sat night and tips where desired. please note costs are not per dive, they include customs fees, transport to and from bahamas as well as Bahamas permit to dive.

What is included?

+ Travel to and from Bahamas via centre console boat. THIS IS NOT A LIVEABOARD

+ Shared accommodation in a hotel for 1 night. We have a room which sleeps 6 in 3 double beds or if available, 5 rooms with 2 beds in each. Where possible we will not have sharing beds but we cannot guarantee this.

+ Bahamas permit to dive and customs charges

+ Basic Food and drink on the boat, generally we have diet coke, coke and water, cheese, ham and rolls as well as chips.

Please note that the evening meal and drinks at the hotel are not included in the cost.

EXTRAS YOU WILL NEED

Diving Gear, MUST have gloves, hood and NO yellow or white fins, all body must be covered.

Itinerary

The group will meet at the boat ramp, leaving Florida at around 7am , arrive 6am to load, on the Saturday morning. Parking is available nearby. The boat will stop at West End passport control where the captain will sort the paper work and customs where you will be met by your dive guide Leigh Cobb. The boat will then travel straight to Tiger Beach where 2 dives will be done around 30ft deep. After diving we will travel to the hotel in the evening where the guests can have dinner and rest before an early start on Sunday. We will travel out to Tiger Beach again and once all the dives for the day are finished the boat will return to Florida, customs check in and then to the pick up point.

NOTE : With 6 divers, bait, 12 tanks, diving gear, cameras bags etc etc the boat is VERY tight. Please do not bring hard cases, pelican cases etc, only backpacks. Hard cases will not be allowed on the boat. We do need to be considerate to each other and load and unload the boat together. You only need 1 nights clothes, and limited toiletries. This is not a liveaboard boat, the crossing can be cold and very wet so please bring waterproof and warm clothes to snuggle up on the beanbags for the trip over. it generally takes 2 hours or so, sometimes slightly longer depending upon the ocean. its a small price to pay for the incredible diving we will have, but please be aware its not a comfortable trip.
